Timeline

The timeline plots events by year as colored datapoints. The plot starts at the year zero for practical reasons, though eventually a logarithmic scale may make this unnecessary. The colors of the datapoints represent the type of innovation. The color key can be viewed as a watermark on the full-screen version of the timeline.

As you move the mouse pointer over the datapoints on the timeline, notice that the statusbar at the bottom of the window shows a summary of the event. The timeline points are active links. If you click on a datapoint, it will set the current case to the designated event. The timeline points are active links. If the datapoints are too small to comfortably click on, use the magnify tool on the toolbar to increase the scale. The timeline scale can also be selected from the view menu.
